Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd)

The Silver Surfer was originally Norrin Radd, a young astronomer of the planet Zenn La. He worked for the alien Galactus, the mission to save Zenn-La from the planet-consuming superpower.

Galactus granted Radd enormous cosmic powers called the “Power Cosmic”. It enabled him to draw in cosmic energy into his body and then release it as a powerful beam of destructive energy, enough to destroy a planet. He had the power to change various elements. He was superstrong, and had the ability to heal human wounds.

The silvery appearance given by Galactus, made him immune to injury and harm. It could withstand extremes of temperature and also vacuums of space. It had also shielded him from those who could read and control minds. The skin has the ability to absorb life-maintaining cosmic energy for fuel

With his surfboard he explored the cosmos, searching for new planets for Galactus to take over. He betrayed Galactus, after a chance encounter with Fantastic 4. Galactus expelled him from Zenn-La, so he sought refuge on Earth, and was reunited with the Fantastic 4

As a lesser deity the Silver Surfer may take 10 on any check. Norrin treats a 1 on an attack roll or saving throw normally and not as an automatic failuer. He is immortal.

Senses

Norrin can see, hear, touch, and smell at a distance of 6 miles. As a standard action, the Surfer can perceive anything within 6 miles of his servants or worshippers, holy sites, objects, or any location where one of his titles or name was spoken in the last hour. He can extend his senses up to five locations at once. He may block the sensing power of deities of his rank or lower in up to two locations at once for 7 hours.

Portfolio Sense

The Silver Surfer can sense any act of liberation or protection, up to seven weeks before it happens, and retains the sensation seven weeks afterwards.

Automatic Actions

Norrin can use Diplomacy or any Knowledge skill as a free action if the DC for the task is 20 or lower. He may not use any skills that require movement. He can perform up to 5 such free actions each round

Herald of Galactus

Galactus physically altered Radd to survive the rigors of deep space and to combat his enemies. The Surfer is one of the most physically powerful beings in the universe.

• Can lift 10x what his strength would indicate. (can lift 100 tons)
• Does not need to eat or breath.
• Immune to cold, heat, electricity, sonic, and acid damage.
• Damage Reduction: 70/-
• He also takes 1/2 damage from any type of energy assault not covered under other types.
• D12 HD . x10 base wounds.
• Inflicts 1d8 in unarmed attacks

The Silver Surfer no longer has an internal anatomy and is thus immune to critical hits, disease, poison, ability drain, polymorph and death effects.

The Silver Surfer possess cosmic awareness and complete sense of his surroundings. This gives him the following powers.

Power Cosmic (Unique SDA)

The Silver Surfer possesses the power cosmic. He can do nearly anything he can think of if given enough time and effort. A few examples of what he has shown in the past are:

Molecular Rearrangement

Can change any material to any other material

Healing

Can restore up to 20d6 hp to a target

Cosmic Energy Bolts

Can project bolts of any energy type inflicting up to 40d10 damage.

Time Travel

The Silver Surfer has shown the ability to travel in time.

Force Fields

Fields that give a +40 deflection bonus to AR and also reduce all damage by 100 points (including spells)

Absorb Energy

The Surfer can absorb energy whether from an attack or from a being. For example he can drain the energy from a hero powered by the sun and weaken them immensely. He could also absorb energy from being close to a solar body. For every point absorbed the Surfer can channel it into a damaging blast or for self healing.

Flight

The Surfer can fly under his own power but normally does not do so. Under his own power he can fly at a movement rate of 1000 with perfect maneuverability. With his  Surfboard he can achieve up to light speed and can be considered to have Superspeed  Lvl.10. He can also open warp gates allowing him to move as if using a greater teleport

Vulnerabilities

The Surfer has is prone to melancholy. He suffers a -4 penalty against any emotion based assaults.

Possessions

Surfboard

The Surfer possesses a silver surfboard he uses for light. It is of the same material he is and is nearly indestructible. It allows the Surfer to achieve light speed. When flying with his surfboard the Surfer has Very Good maneuverability.
