Iron Will (General)

You have a stronger will than normal.

Benefit: You get a +2 bonus on all Will saving throws.
What Iron Will Protects Against
Iron Will improves every Will saving throw by +2. Will saves are commonly used against effects that attack judgment, perception, courage or control of the mind, including many charms, compulsions, illusions and fear effects.
Iron Will Example
A character with a +3 Will save would normally roll 1d20 + 3. Iron Will increases that to 1d20 + 5. Against a DC 17 mental effect, a roll of 12 succeeds with Iron Will instead of reaching only 15 without it.
When to Choose It
- Characters with weak Will saves can use the feat to shore up a dangerous defensive gap.
- Warriors and other characters vulnerable to mind-affecting magic may value the broad bonus.
- The feat has no prerequisite and applies to every Will save rather than one narrow category.
See the Feats index for other defensive feats.
