What Epic Reflexes Improves

Epic Reflexes adds +4 to every Reflex saving throw. Reflex saves commonly determine whether a character avoids or reduces the effect of sudden hazards such as blasts, traps, collapsing terrain and other threats where speed and reaction matter.

Epic Reflexes Example

An epic character with a Reflex save bonus of +16 normally rolls 1d20 + 16. Epic Reflexes increases that to 1d20 + 20. Against a DC 32 effect, a roll of 12 now succeeds.

Epic Reflexes vs Lightning Reflexes

Lightning Reflexes grants +2 on Reflex saves. Epic Reflexes doubles that improvement to +4 for epic-level characters dealing with much higher save DCs.
