Oracle (Barbara Gordon)

Barbara Gordon is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with the superhero Batman. The character was created by television producer William Dozier, editor Julius Schwartz, writer Gardner Fox and artist Carmine Infantino.
Dozier, the producer of the 1960s Batman television series, requested Schwartz to call for a new female counterpart to the superhero Batman that could be introduced into publication and the third season of the show simultaneously. The character subsequently made her first comic book appearance as Batgirl in Detective Comics #359, titled “The Million Dollar Debut of Batgirl!” (January 1967), by Fox and Infantino allowing her to be introduced into the television series, portrayed by actress Yvonne Craig, in the season 3 premiere “Enter Batgirl, Exit Penguin“, in September that same year.

Computer Savant
Barbara is among the top ten hackers in the entire world. She gains a +15 bonus on Computer Use checks. She can use a Computer Use check in place of any Intelligence or Wisdom based skill. Her hacking abilities give her the ability to view anyone within range of an electronic camera or audio receiver. Barbara decreases the standard time requirements for Computer Use checks by 2 steps. (Hours become full rounds, minutes become standard actions, rounds become move actions, etc) While using a computer, Barbara may make 4 separate standard (or move) actions as a full round action.
Martial Artist
Barbara was a very talented martial artist and gymnast before getting shot. Afterwards, she trained extensively in escrima in order to allow her to effectively fight while in her wheelchair. She gains bonus fighter feats as a fighter of half her hit die and unarmed damage as a monk one half of her hit die, in addition to the following benefits.
- Barbara gains a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls when fighting unarmed or with eskrima sticks.
- Barbara’s unarmed strikes deal bludgeoning, slashing, or piercing damage, as she sees fit. It is a free action to change the type of damage she deals.
Paralyzed
Barbara was shot in the spine by the Joker and cannot move her legs any more. However, constant exercise has kept her upper body in prime physical condition.
Barbara has a 22 Dexterity, but she cannot make full use of it. In the following situations, she has an effective 7 Dexterity instead.
She also takes a -5 penalty on Climb and Swim checks, and a -20 penalty on Jump and Tumble checks.
Moving out of Barbara’s threatened range does not provoke an attack of opportunity.
Barbara uses her Wisdom for Initiative checks.
