Wolfsbane
Wolfsbane (Rahne Sinclair) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is commonly associated with the X-Men.
A Scottish mutant, Wolfsbane possesses the ability to transform into a wolf or into a transitional state somewhere between human and wolf that is similar to a werewolf. She has honed her powers to shift between human and wolf characteristics but must keep her feral instincts at bay when she does.
She was initially a member of the X-Men’s original junior team The New Mutants. Later on she joined the Pentagon-sponsored X-Factor and was also associated with the British superhero team Excalibur. She appeared for a time as a teacher at Xavier’s Academy in New X-Men. She served as a member of the X-Factor Investigations detective agency, until she joined the new incarnation of X-Force.
Wolfsbane has made minor appearances in animated television, though the character did make her live-action cinematic debut in the 2020 film The New Mutants, portrayed by Maisie Williams.

Lycanthropy Rahne possesses the mutant ability to change into a lupine-hybrid or a large red wolf. Her abilities differ slightly in each form; transformation from one
form to the next is a move-equivalent action. Rahne does not heal any injuries during her transformation.

Bestial Fury Wolfsbane can give into her animal instincts becoming a fury of fur and claws in battle. Entering a fury is a full round action. During her fury Wolfsbane receives +4 to strike and damage. She also receives a -2 penalty to her armor class and Will saves. Throughout her fury she is incapable of using Intelligence-based skills.
Wolfsbane will come out of her fury when reduced to less than 10 WP or after all enemies are defeated.
Hybrid Senses Wolfsbane’s senses are all superhumanly acute in her hybrid form. She receives a +8 bonus on all Listen, Search, and Spot checks. She also
receives this bonus when making any Survival checks to Track.
Superspeed level 1 Wolfsbane does not have true superspeed, but her reflexes are enhanced to the point where she qualifies for Superspeed level 1.
The following benefits are provided from Superspeed Level 1:
- +1 speed bonus to AC, initiative, and Reflex saves.
- +1 speed bonus to attack and damage rolls.
- Wolfsbane may make 1 additional swift action in a round.
- Wolfsbane reduces the amount of time to complete an action by 1 step, allowing her to take full round actions as standard actions and so on.
- When using the run action, Sinclair moves x5 her movement rate (200 ft).
