Hunger Domain

The Hunger Domain turns appetite into divine predation: bite, paralysis, ghoul-making and the draining of life itself. Its published D&D 3.5 form comes from Libris Mortis, where it is associated with Doresain.

How the Hunger Domain Plays
Hunger begins with a permanent melee option and grows into a strongly ghoul-themed necromancy list. Several of its spells paralyse or transform victims, while its highest-level magic drains life directly. It suits a cleric whose faith treats appetite as conquest rather than simple survival.
Doresain, Yeenoghu and Hunger
Libris Mortis names Doresain as the source deity for this domain. In the campaign, Yeenoghu is also associated with Hunger. That campaign relationship is kept distinct from the domain’s published source attribution.
Priests, Cults and Sacred Duties
Hunger priests are rarely ordinary providers of food. Their rites revolve around predation, taboo appetite, ghoulish transformation and the belief that taking strength from another creature is itself sacred. In play they are natural antagonists for communities threatened by corpse-eating cults and uncontrolled undead.
