Moldavia is a region, and principality in Eastern Europe, corresponding to the territory between the Eastern Carpathians and the Dniester river.

Peter Aaron ascended to the throne after assassinating Bogdan II, while the latter was at a wedding in Rauseni. Immediately, his rule was challenged by Alexăndrel, who deposed him. Supported by the Ottomans, Peter is currently raising an army to retake the throne.

Slavery has existed on the territory before the founding of the principalities of Moldavia. Most of the slaves are of halfling stock but there were also slaves of orkish ethnicity, probably prisoners captured from the wars with the Nogai and Crimean Tatars.

The slaves were owned by the boyars, the Orthodox monasteries, or the state. Initially, they were used only as smiths, gold panners and as agricultural workers, and where it is more urbanized, increasingly more of them were used as domestic workers.
