Scalykind Domain — Pathfinder 1e
Venomous Stare (Sp)
As a standard action, use an active gaze against one creature within 30 feet. It makes a Will save against DC 10 + half your cleric level + your Wisdom modifier. Failure deals 1d6 nonlethal damage plus 1 per two cleric levels and leaves it fascinated until your next turn begins. This mind-affecting power has daily uses equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.
Serpent Companion (Ex)
At cleric level 4, gain a viper or constrictor snake animal companion. Its effective druid level is your cleric level minus 2.

How Scalykind Domain Plays
The gaze and snake companion are different tools: one briefly disrupts a target, while the other supplies a persistent animal ally. Animal Trance is not given an added reptile-only restriction. Animal Growth, Animal Shapes and Shapechange are reptile-only domain spells.
Campaign Patrons
Priests, Rites and Sacred Places
Scalykind priests honour serpents and other reptiles. Their sacred places give those creatures room to shelter, bask and hunt; the living companion is part of the priest’s daily duties.
