Edition Applicability

These are published Pathfinder 1e rules. This subdomain replaces the specified features of its parent domain. A cleric needs access to both from their deity, and cannot choose the parent domain as their other domain. Other rules traditions are separate choices; this page does not supply a fifth-edition conversion.

The complete powers and nine domain spells for this subdomain are given below, including inherited features.

How Venom Subdomain Plays

Venomous Saliva uses a swift action and requires a damaging weapon hit to deliver its poison. It replaces the gaze rather than adding to it. Pernicious Poison and Cloudkill replace spell levels 2 and 6; the other Scalykind spells keep their original restrictions.

Priests, Rites and Sacred Places

Venom priests study the difference between a harmless encounter and a lethal dose. Serpents, fangs and venom-bearing weapons express their sacred power.
