Time Domain

A dark fantastical clockwork scene representing the Time Domain

The Time Domain makes foresight, preserved moments and supernatural control of tempo part of a cleric’s divine authority. Its published D&D 3.5e rules reward quick reactions and build toward Time Stop.

How the Time Domain Plays

The granted feat is simple but always relevant: a priest of Time is more likely to act before an opponent. The spell progression then moves through prediction, preservation and acceleration before reaching contingency magic, deep foresight and finally temporary freedom from ordinary time.

Thoth and the Time Domain

The current divine directory associates the domain with Thoth. His authority over reckoning, knowledge and ordered measure makes Time a natural extension of his existing sacred portfolio without changing the published mechanics.

What Are Time Priests Doing Now?

Time priests are calculating auspicious moments, preserving bodies or evidence until the correct hour, investigating impossible gaps in chronology and advising rulers when a prophecy’s timing matters as much as its wording.

Rules Sources and Licensing

The granted power and nine-spell progression follow the Time Domain published in Player’s Guide to Faerûn (Wizards of the Coast, 2004). The page presents those mechanics as D&D 3.5e supplemental material rather than as a modern-edition domain.
