Dabble Songs — Legacy Witch Art
Songs is a legacy Witch Art that channels spellcraft through voice, melody and rhythm. It belongs to the preserved d20 Dabble system rather than Pathfinder 1e or 5.5e.
Choose Songs If…
- You want melody, voice and rhythm to carry your Witchcraft.
- You enjoy support magic and expressive spellcasting.
- You want performance to shape spells without turning the character into a Bard.
What it feels like to play: Songs makes the act of casting part of the character’s identity. A melody can soothe, warn, focus or unsettle long before its magical effect is obvious.
Legacy rules note
This Art uses the preserved d20 Witch rules. Its original prerequisites and spell progression remain below; other editions need a deliberate conversion.
Melodies can carry magic, and some witches make song part of their personal Art. The original d20 write-up restricts this Art to non-evil witches; campaigns may instead treat that as a tradition, patron or conduct requirement.
Power: Spellsong: Perform (Sing) is a class skill, and once per day, the witch can cast a witchcraft spell with a Verbal component as if affected by the Eschew Materials feat or by the Still Spell feat without taking up the higher spell slot or requiring that she have the feat.
