Kigatilik
“Unleash the mystery of Kigatilik: the fanged demon who hunts shamans!”
Appearance: Kigatiliks are spectral beings, hauntingly humanoid in form, with long, shaggy hair that hangs in tangled strands around their gaunt frames. Their pallid skin is stretched tight over sharp bones, and their eyes burn with an icy, malevolent light. Claws, long and jagged, extend from their fingers, ready to rend flesh from bone.
Behavior: Kigatiliks are vengeful spirits, driven by a primal hunger for revenge against those who trespass upon their territory. They are relentless hunters, stalking their prey with cunning and stealth, and they show no mercy to those who fall into their clutches. Despite their spectral nature, they possess a cruel intelligence, capable of devising elaborate traps and tricks to ensnare their victims.
Habitat: Kigatiliks are most commonly found in the frozen wilderness of the Arctic regions, where they haunt the icy wastes and snow-covered tundras. They are creatures of the cold, thriving in environments where blizzards rage and temperatures plummet to deadly lows. Their lairs are hidden deep within the frozen landscape, concealed from the prying eyes of unwary travelers.
Modus Operandi: The Kigatiliks’ modus operandi is one of stealth and deception. They use their supernatural abilities to mimic the voices of their victims’ loved ones, luring them away from safety and into the heart of the blizzard. Once their prey is isolated and vulnerable, they strike with ferocious speed and precision, tearing flesh from bone with their razor-sharp claws.
Motivations: The motivations of the Kigatiliks are rooted in vengeance and despair. They are the restless spirits of those who died in the frozen wilderness, consumed by bitterness and rage. Their only desire is to inflict the same suffering upon others that they themselves endured, feeding on the fear and despair of their victims to sustain their cursed existence.

Kigatilik is a vicious, violent beast, especially known for killing clerics.
Ir is a fearsome monster from polar regions. It appears as a large ape with a demon’s head, whose cavernous jaws sport two large curved, yellow fangs. The teeth and claws of a kigatilik can tear a full-grown man apart in seconds. It has a preference for divine spellcasters, whose spiritual souls seem to be somehow necessary for the creature’s nourishment.
They speak Abyssal and their own savage language.

Combat
They savagely bear down upon their prey with their teeth and claws. They always attack clerics first, followed by druids, creatures with spell-like abilities resembling divine spells, paladins, clerics and other creature types (in that order).
Divine Devouring (Su): They gain strength from killing priests. For every 5 points of damage dealt to a divine spellcaster by a kigatilik’s claws or bite, it recovers 1 hit point. A kigatilik may not gain hit points putting it above its maximum hit points in this fashion.
Improved Grab (Ex): A kigatilik that hits with a claw attack can attempt to start a grapple as a free action, without provoking an attack of opportunity.
Divine Assimilation (Su): It is all but impervious to divine magic. Spells available to both arcane and divine spellcasters affect a kigatilik only if they come from a creature using them as arcane spells. Otherwise, any divine spell or spell-like effect targeted on a kigatilik is automatically dispelled and its casting heals 1 point per spell level to the kigatilik. Thus a slay living spell cast on a kigatilik is dispelled with no ill effect, plus it heals 5 points to the kigatilik.
Skills: They gain a +4 racial bonus on all Hide and Move Silently checks. They gains a +8 racial bonus on all Swim checks and can always take 10 on Swim checks, even if rushed or threatened.
*When in snowy or glacial environments, the Hide bonus rises to +12.
**A kigatilik gains a +4 racial bonus on Listen, Spot and Survival checks made to sense and/or Track divine spellcasters.
