Abundantia is a Roman divine personification of abundance, prosperity and overflowing provision. She is best treated as an imperial and civic personification rather than as a major independently attested temple goddess with a large priesthood of her own.

Abundantia in Roman Religion
Abundantia is most securely understood as a divine personification of abundance and prosperity, especially visible in imperial imagery and coinage. The cornucopia makes her meaning immediate: plenty that overflows rather than merely meets the minimum.
The evidence does not justify inventing a large independent temple cult with detailed priesthood and festival calendar. In this campaign she is real, but her strength grows through public ideas of plenty, imperial promises, granaries, distributions and the belief that prosperity should be visible.
What Is Abundantia Doing Right Now?
War, poor harvests and merchant speculation make visible abundance politically explosive. A ruler displaying treasure while grain prices climb may discover that Abundantia’s imagery turns against him.
She appears where surplus exists but access does not: locked granaries, hoarded coin, relief convoys diverted to private estates and markets where shortage has been manufactured for profit.
Worship in the Campaign Present
Abundantia has fewer formal temples than great civic gods. Merchants, granary officials, charitable fraternities and rulers instead invoke her image on seals, coins, storehouses and public distributions.
Her cult is most convincing when abundance actually circulates. An overflowing cornucopia carved above an empty granary is an accusation, not a blessing.
Domains, Spells and Divine Gifts
Abundantia’s clergy favour Life, Community, Fortune and Protection themes. Suitable spells include Create Food and Water, Aid, Enhance Ability, Aura of Vitality, Heroes’ Feast, Greater Restoration and Heal.
Gift: Full Measure
The devotee immediately knows whether a quantity of food, coin or trade goods has been deliberately short-measured.
Gift: Shared Plenty
Once per long rest, a meal or supply cache sufficient for one group can nourish twice as many people without loss of quality.
Relics
The Cornucopia of the Common Store
Once each dawn it produces wholesome food sufficient for a small household, but ceases functioning for anyone who hoards the food while neighbours starve.
The Overflowing Measure
A bronze grain measure that fills exactly to the honest quantity owed and cannot be used to conceal a short weight.
Relationships
Ceres governs grain and cultivated sustenance; Abundantia represents the wider condition of plenty. Mercury governs exchange, Venus fortunate attraction and Jupiter public authority capable of distributing—or monopolising—surplus.
Use Abundantia Tonight
The Full Granary Is Empty
Official records show enough grain for months, yet every physical storehouse is bare.
The Coin Spills Back
A tax collector’s chest refuses to stay shut and scatters money into the street whenever the poor approach.
The Cornucopia Points East
A civic statue turns its overflowing horn toward an abandoned warehouse no one admits owning.
Divine Estate and Regional Effects
Where Abundantia’s presence is strong, a major sanctuary can project the following effects across roughly six miles. A small shrine normally manifests only one effect in a smaller area. Unless another divine power contests them, the effects fade over 1d10 days after the sanctuary is abandoned or desecrated.
Stores Stretch Further
Food, lamp oil and other shared necessities are consumed slightly more slowly in communal stores; deliberate hoarding ends the effect.
Gifts Return in Kind
A creature that gives useful aid without demanding repayment finds one mundane need unexpectedly met before the next dawn.
False Plenty Fails
Counterfeit coin, padded inventories and magically disguised shortages develop visible inconsistencies when inspected inside a consecrated sanctuary.

Historical Sources and Rules Compatibility
Abundantia is treated here as a Roman divine personification strongly associated with prosperity, grain supply and imperial imagery rather than as a securely attested major temple cult. Campaign mechanics, relics and current events are original setting material.
