Alu-demon
“Discover the dark secrets of the seductive Alu-demonāhalf-human, half-fiend, and all deadly charm!”
The Alu-demon is a strikingly beautiful yet fearsome creature, with an alluring presence that conceals her fiendish nature. Standing at just over six feet tall, she has an elegantly curved figure and flawless, pale skin. Her hair is typically long and flowing, often in shades of jet black or deep mahogany, cascading down her shoulders like a dark waterfall. Set just above her brow are a pair of small, sharp black horns, which can be hidden beneath her hair.
Her eyes are mesmerizing pools of darkness, often green, brown, or black, radiating a dangerous allure that draws in the unwary. Her lips, crimson as fresh blood, curl into a beguiling smile that hints at both pleasure and peril. Small, black, leathery wings protrude from her shoulders, folding tightly against her back when she wishes to blend in. Clad in fine, form-fitting garmentsāsilk robes or leather armorāshe moves with a graceful, almost predatory elegance.
Behavior:
Alu-demons are master manipulators, using charm and deceit as their primary weapons. Intelligent and calculating, they possess a deep understanding of mortal emotions and exploit them to their advantage. They enjoy watching others squirm under the weight of their desires and fears, feeding off the chaos they create. Rarely resorting to brute force, they prefer to manipulate and seduce, whether through subtle words, suggestive glances, or magic. While they can fight fiercely if threatened, they often flee from direct confrontation, using spells and shapechanging abilities to escape.
Habitat:
Alu-demons are most commonly found on the Material Plane, where they are sent by their demonic masters to corrupt and subvert mortals. They infiltrate mortal societies, typically taking up residence in places of power or influence, such as noble courts, merchant guilds, or decadent pleasure houses. In these environments, they pass as beautiful mortals, hiding their true nature beneath a veil of charisma and glamor. When not on the Material Plane, they reside in the darker, more corrupt layers of the Abyss, where they act as spies, courtiers, or seductresses for more powerful demons.
Modus Operandi:
The Alu-demonās primary tactic is seduction and psychological manipulation. Upon entering a new locale, she will use her shapechanging ability to assume the form of a desirable humanoid, one that appeals to the preferences and weaknesses of her target. She often masquerades as a noblewoman, courtesan, or even a lowly servant, depending on what best serves her purpose.
Once she has established herself, she subtly influences her chosen victims, sowing discord, jealousy, or obsession. She may use her spellcasting abilitiesāsuch as suggestion and detect thoughtsāto nudge her prey into making disastrous decisions, all while appearing to be a helpful or trusted ally. Her ultimate goal is to corrupt the soul of her target, driving them toward evil or destruction before claiming them for the Abyss.
Motivation:
Alu-demons are driven by a need to sow chaos and fulfill the schemes of their demonic progenitors. They take great pleasure in manipulating mortals, watching as they unravel from within, their lives collapsing under the weight of their own desires and ambitions. Every soul they taint adds to their status and power within the demonic hierarchy. Some Alu-demons, however, harbor a secret yearning for independence, resenting their infernal origins and chafing under the control of their demonic masters. These rare individuals might strike out on their own, pursuing their own twisted ambitions or seeking to escape the Abyss altogetherāthough even then, their dark nature is rarely tempered.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. They make two attacks.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) slashing damage plus 7 (2d6) poison damage.
Charm. One humanoid the alu-fiend can see within 30 feet of it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be magically charmed for 1 day. The charmed target obeys the fiend’s verbal or telepathic commands. If the target suffers any harm or receives a suicidal command, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success. If the target successfully saves against the effect, or if the effect on it ends, the target is immune to this fiend’s Charm for the next 24 hours. The fiend can have only one target charmed at a time. If it charms another, the effect on the previous target ends.
This shapely female humanoid has dark hair, dark eyes, and a pair of small black horns just above her eyes. Small, black, leathery wings protrude from her shoulders.
The alu-demon is the female demonic offspring of a succubus and human. Though part demon, not all are inherently evil (although good-aligned alu-demons are extremely rare). The typicaly they have black or brown hair and dark green, brown, or black eyes. Alu-demons are always female.
Alu-demons are often sent to the Material Plane to seduce mortals. When on such missions they typically arrange their flowing hair so it hides their horns and also fold their wings against their backs (and tuck them under their robe, shirt, or whatever garment of clothing one happens to be wearing at the time).

Innate Spellcasting. The Alu-Demonās spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 19, +11 to hit with spell attacks). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
- At will: Minor Illusion, Charm Person, Disguise Self, Detect Magic, Hellish Rebuke
- 3/day each: Suggestion, Invisibility, Counterspell, Hold Person
- 1/day each: Dominate Person, Plane Shift (self only), Greater Invisibility
Shapechanger. The Alu-Demon can use her action to polymorph into a Small or Medium humanoid, or back into her true form. While in humanoid form, she loses her wings and flying speed. Any equipment she is wearing or carrying isnāt transformed. She reverts to her true form if she dies.
Outsider’s Presence. When the Alu-Demon uses a spell or ability to charm a creature, the target has disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws if it isnāt of fiendish origin. Creatures immune to the charmed condition still have disadvantage if the Alu-Demon succeeds on a Deception or Persuasion check against them.
Magic Resistance. The Alu-Demon has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Actions
Multiattack. The Alu-Demon makes two attacks: one with her claws and one with her Kiss of Despair.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or take 14 (4d6) poison damage and be poisoned until the end of its next turn.
Kiss of Despair. Melee Spell Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature charmed by the Alu-Demon. Hit: 30 (5d10 + 5) psychic damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 19 Wisdom saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn. If the target is reduced to 0 hit points by this effect, it immediately dies and its soul is trapped in the Abyss, leaving its body lifeless.
Reactions
Abyssal Reprisal. When the Alu-Demon takes damage from a creature within 60 feet of her, she can use her reaction to cast Hellish Rebuke at 5th level (save DC 19).
Shadowstep. When a creature within 60 feet of the Alu-Demon targets her with an attack, she can use her reaction to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space she can see, avoiding the attack unless it can see through illusions or true sight. After using this ability, she becomes invisible until the start of her next turn or until she attacks or casts a spell.
Legendary Actions
The Alu-Demon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The Alu-Demon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
- Beguiling Gaze. The Alu-Demon targets one creature within 30 feet that she can see. If the target can see her, it must succeed on a DC 19 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed until the end of the Alu-Demon’s next turn.
- Wing Buffet. The Alu-Demon beats her wings. Each creature within 10 feet of her must succeed on a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or take 15 (3d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone.
- Dark Delusion (Costs 2 Actions). The Alu-Demon creates a phantasmal image of herself, causing a single target within 60 feet to believe itās surrounded by copies of her. The target must succeed on a DC 19 Wisdom saving throw or have disadvantage on attack rolls against her until the end of its next turn.
Tactics
- Engagement: The Alu-Demon begins encounters subtly, using Disguise Self or Charm Person to infiltrate and manipulate. When in combat, she focuses on neutralizing key targets, using Hold Person to paralyze frontline fighters while charming support characters to turn them against their allies.
- Mid-Fight: She employs Shadowstep and legendary actions to evade damage, maintaining her position as a mobile threat. If overwhelmed, she shifts into a higher vantage point or uses Dominate Person to force an ally to protect her.
- Retreat: When her health is reduced to a critical level, the Alu-Demon uses Plane Shift to escape, planning her return once her enemies are weakened.
