How the Pact Domain Plays
Pact gives a cleric strong social tools before magic is even cast. Its spells then turn obligations into real mechanical consequences: allies can share harm, dead witnesses can answer questions, future conditions can trigger powerful benefits and the highest-level magic can cross planar boundaries.
Pacts, Law and Trade
Pacts overlap with law and commerce but are not identical to either. Law represents cosmic order; Trade concerns exchange. Pact concerns the binding promise itself.
Priests, Temples and Sacred Duties
Pact priests witness agreements, investigate breaches, negotiate terms and preserve records of promises whose force extends beyond ordinary custom. Their temples can function as neutral ground for difficult bargains.
