Litha Subdomain — Pathfinder 1e

Light Bolt (Sp)

This power replaces Fire Bolt. As a standard action, target one foe within 30 feet with a ranged touch attack. On a hit, Light Bolt deals 1d4 damage + 1 point per three cleric levels. The damage is untyped; constructs and inanimate objects are unaffected. A creature with eyes is also dazzled for a number of rounds equal to half your cleric level, minimum 1 round. You can use Light Bolt 3 + your Wisdom modifier times per day.

Fire Resistance (Ex)

You retain the Fire Domain’s second power. At 6th level you gain fire resistance 10; this becomes resistance 20 at 12th level and immunity to fire at 20th level.

How the Litha Subdomain Plays

Litha softens the Fire Domain’s pure offence. Light Bolt remains a reliable ranged attack, but the changed spell list adds cleansing, healing and solar magic. The result is a cleric who can still withstand and command fire while using midsummer light to drive back corruption and keep allies standing.

Brigid and Litha

In the campaign, Brigid is associated with Litha. The subdomain expresses sacred flame as illumination, protection and renewal rather than indiscriminate burning.

Priests, Rites and Sacred Duties

Litha priests tend sacred fires, conduct rites at the height of summer and use light as both weapon and blessing. Their public duties often involve purification, healing and maintaining vigilance as the year’s longest days begin to shorten.
