Midgard, Jotunheim

Jötunheimr is one of the Nine Worlds and the world (homeland’) of the Giants or, more particularly, the Frost-Giants.

Arising out of the primeval Ice at the beginning of days. They are dedicated  to the destruction of the Aesir Gods and Mankind. Jotunheim itself seems to  have been a land much like its inhabitants; a vast and frigid reach of taiga forest, fen, glacier, and lifeless, stony mountains. Jotunheim lies in the east  of Midgard. From there they menace the humans in Midgard and the gods in Asgard, from whom they are separated by the river Ifing.

Gastropnir, home of Menglad,  and Þrymheimr, home of Þjazi, were both located in Jotunheim, which  is ruled by King Thrym. Glæsisvellir is a location in Jotunheim, home of the giant Gudmund, father of Höfund.
