“ Ultrezekira: The Infernal Hellcat of Malbolge”
Ultrezekira — Infernal Apex Predators of Malbolge, Invisible Hellcats Whose Embers Herald Death

Ultrezekira are huge dire hellcats, a far larger and more fearsome breed descended from the infernal hellcats known as Bezekira. These monstrous devils stalk the shattered slopes of Malbolge, the sixth layer of the Nine Hells. Like their lesser kin, they move unseen in ordinary light, their presence betrayed only by drifting sparks, molten eyes, and the distant tremor of massive paws across collapsing infernal cliffs. To devils and mortals alike, Ultrezekira are whispered of as living executioners of Hell—apex predators whose patience and discipline make escape from their hunting grounds nearly impossible.
Among the species, one legendary specimen is said to stand above all others: Bezarakor, the greatest of the Ultrezekira and a terror even among the devils of Malbolge.
Appearance
An Ultrezekira resembles an immense skeletal dire tiger formed of infernal bone and stretched shadow-black hide. Its gaunt frame reveals rib-like plates beneath its skin, giving the creature a corpse-like silhouette even when revealed. Its eyes burn like twin embers in darkness, glowing through its natural invisibility like coals drifting through smoke. Long claws curve like blackened obsidian blades, and each step releases faint sparks as though its bones grind against the volcanic stone of Hell. Even when seen in magical light, heat distortion ripples around its body, making its true shape appear unstable and ghostlike.
Behaviour
Ultrezekira hunt with cold infernal discipline. Unlike many fiendish predators, they are patient and calculating, often stalking prey for hours—or even days—before committing to an attack. The creatures waste little motion, preferring carefully chosen ambushes over open confrontation. They hunt alone and tolerate no rivals within their territory, though they frequently ignore lesser devils unless those devils interfere with their pursuit.
Habitat
These dire hellcats roam the broken ridges and collapsing mountains of Malbolge, where jagged cliffs, volcanic fissures, and unstable slopes create a treacherous landscape. Ultrezekira move through this terrain with uncanny balance, leaping between fractured spires and prowling along lava-scarred ledges where few other creatures can travel safely. Entire valleys of the layer are said to fall silent when one of these predators claims the region as its hunting grounds.
Modus Operandi
Relying on their natural invisibility, Ultrezekira approach prey unseen, often allowing their quarry to wander deep into their territory before striking. The first sign of their presence is frequently the faint glow of ember-like eyes or the subtle tremor of heavy footsteps beneath the ground. When they attack, the hellcats launch forward with explosive speed, attempting to end the hunt with a single devastating pounce. If the prey survives, the Ultrezekira withdraws into shadow and heat haze, circling silently before striking again from another unseen angle.
Motivation
Though driven by predatory instinct, Ultrezekira appear bound to the rigid hierarchy of Hell. Some infernal scholars believe the creatures serve as living enforcers of Malbolge’s brutal order, eliminating beings that stray too far beyond their station. Others claim the dire hellcats hunt only to satisfy an ancient, insatiable hunger—eternal predators shaped by the merciless laws of the Nine Hells.o satisfy an ancient, insatiable hunger—an eternal predator shaped by the merciless laws of the Nine Hells.

Like all Ultrezekira, Bezarakor is invisible in nonmagical light. Its molten eyes may remain visible, revealing its presence. It becomes fully visible in magical light or when it chooses.
Heat Distortion
The air within 20 feet of Bezarakor shimmers with infernal heat. Ranged attacks against it from beyond this range have disadvantage unless the attacker can see invisible creatures.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day)
If Bezarakor fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Siege Predator
Bezarakor deals double damage to objects and structures.
Regional Effects
The presence of Bezarakor warps the surrounding terrain:
- Infernal heat shimmer imposes disadvantage on sight-based Perception checks beyond 60 ft.
- Drifting embers reveal its passage even when invisible.
- The ground trembles faintly with its movement.
Actions
Multiattack
Bezarakor makes three attacks: one Bite and two Claws.
Bite
Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
Hit: 28 (4d10 + 8) piercing damage plus 18 (4d8) fire damage.
Claw
Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
Hit: 24 (3d10 + 8) slashing damage.
Pounce
If Bezarakor moves at least 20 ft. straight toward a creature and hits it with a Claw attack, the target must succeed on a DC 21 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, Bezarakor can make one Bite attack as a bonus action.
Infernal Roar (Recharge 5–6)
Each creature within 120 feet that can hear Bezarakor must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns.
Infernal Stalking (Recharge 5–6) — Signature Ability
Bezarakor vanishes into infernal distortion, becoming invisible until the end of its next turn. It can move up to its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
If it emerges from invisibility and hits with a Claw before the end of its next turn, the attack deals an extra 27 (6d8) fire damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 21 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of its next turn.
Legendary Actions
Bezarakor can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn.
Claw Attack. Bezarakor makes one Claw attack.
Stalk. Bezarakor moves up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Infernal Pounce (Costs 2 Actions). Bezarakor leaps up to 40 feet and makes a Claw attack.
Hellfire Burst (Costs 3 Actions). Each creature within 15 feet must succeed on a DC 21 Dexterity saving throw or take 35 (10d6) fire damage, or half as much on a successful save.
Ecology
Bezarakor is the greatest known Ultrezekira, a dire hellcat species that stalks the broken cliffs of Malbolge in the Nine Hells. A solitary apex predator, it may stalk prey for hours or even days before striking.
Lesser devils instinctively avoid its hunting grounds. The drifting embers, heat-shimmering air, and faint tremors of its massive paws often warn observant creatures of the hellcat’s presence long before the invisible predator finally strikes.

Combat
Bezarakor is straight forward in combat. He charges the largest foe, pounces, attempts to rake, and continues to tear into that foe until they are no more. Then he moves on to the next. If foes manage to converge on him, he teleports a short distance away and charges again. While direct and vicious, he is still very intelligent, and will adapt his strategy to account for terrain and other variables.
If surprised, he generally does not waste time with his spell-like ability buffs unless obviously outmatched. When outmatched, Bezarakor teleports away and casts such spells in rapid succession before returning to combat.
If stalking dangerous prey, he typically has them cast upon himself just before pouncing.
Improved Grab (Ex): Bezarakor must hit with his bite attack to use this ability. He can then start a grapple as a free action. If he wins, he establishes a hold and can rake.
Pounce (Ex): If Bezarakor charges he can make a full attack.

Lore
Ultrezekira are dire hellcats, massive skeletal fiends resembling the towering bone frame of a saber-toothed tiger wreathed in infernal heat. Their bodies shimmer like mirages, rendering them nearly invisible except for their glowing red eyes.
They prowl the collapsing mountains and burning slopes of Malbolge, the sixth layer of the Nine Hells, hunting with terrifying patience. An Ultrezekira may stalk prey for hours before striking in a sudden burst of claws, fangs, and hellfire.
Even other devils give these predators wide berth, recognizing them as among the deadliest hunters in the infernal hierarchy.
