Muscaliet

An odd creature rests on the branch above you. A long, broad tail fans out from one end of its body, while a short eared head, shaped somewhat like that of a mole’s gazes at you from the other. Short tusks flare out from its mouth, while the whole creature gives off an almost palpable heat.

A muscaliet is a fruit-eating animal the size of a squirrel. Its large tail allows it fly poorly, while its paws allow it Climb trees and burrow underneath the roots.

The creature is extremely hot, and anything touching it is liable to get burnt. Because of this, it has few natural predators.

A muscaliet is about 1 foot long and weighs about 1 pound.
