Pele is depicted as a passionate and tempestuous goddess, capable of both tremendous beauty and terrible fury. She is said to dance across the land, spreading fire and creation with every step, leaving behind fiery craters, geysers, and hot springs. Her fiery personality is said to reflect her volatile nature, as she can quickly switch from joy and laughter to anger and rage, leaving destruction in her wake.

Despite her volatile nature, she is revered and worshiped by many Hawaiians as a goddess of strength and renewal. She is seen as a symbol of hope and renewal, as she brings life to the land through the fire and ash of her volcanoes. Her followers believe that by channeling her energy and emulating her strength, they can overcome adversity and find renewal in their own lives.

As a deity of fire, Pele is also associated with the power of transformation and change. She represents the force that transforms the world, breaking down old structures and paving the way for new growth. Her followers believe that by embracing her energy and harnessing her power, they can bring about positive change in their own lives and the world around them.

Pele’s divine artifact is a powerful volcanic rock known as the Heart of Pele. It is said to contain the essence of Pele’s power and her connection to the fiery depths of the earth. The Heart of Pele is a bright red orb that radiates intense heat and has the ability to control and manipulate volcanic activity. With this artifact, she can create massive eruptions, shape the land with flowing lava, and even call forth creatures of fire and ash to do her bidding. The Heart of Pele is considered sacred among the Hawaiian people and is said to be kept in a hidden location, protected by Pele’s loyal followers and powerful elemental guardians.

She is often depicted as a beautiful and powerful woman, with flowing dark hair and piercing dark eyes. Her skin is said to glow with the intensity of molten lava, and her body is toned and muscular, a testament to her strength and power. She is usually depicted wearing a crown of fiery red and orange feathers, and a long flowing skirt of fiery red, representing the powerful and destructive forces of her element. Despite her imposing appearance, Pele is often described as having a warm and welcoming smile, and a compassionate heart that beats for all those who seek her help and guidance.

Ultimately, Pele’s ultimate goal is to maintain balance in the world, and to keep the forces of nature in check. By doing so, she ensures that the cycle of life, death, and rebirth can continue, and that the world will remain a place of vibrant, transformative energy.

Flaming Strike. Pele makes a Fists of Fire attack. Fire Shield (2 Actions). Pele wreathes herself in flames, shedding bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. Until the end of her next turn, Pele takes no damage from nonmagical attacks, and any creature that hits her with a melee attack within 5 feet of her takes 22 (4d10) fire damage. Earthquake (3 Actions). Pele stomps the ground, causing an earthquake in a 50-foot radius centered on her. The ground in the area becomes difficult terrain until cleared.

The region within 6 miles of Pele’s presence is subject to the following effects:

  1. The temperature in the region is 20 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than usual, and fires are more likely to start.
  2. All creatures that are immune to fire have their fire resistance doubled while within the region.
  3. Natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis are more common and severe within the region.
  4. The ground is littered with obsidian shards, which can be used as improvised weapons that deal 1d8 slashing damage.

Their mere presence can ignite flammable objects and surfaces, and they leave a trail of scorched earth wherever they go. They are fiercely loyal to Pele and will obey her every command without question.
