Pleasure Domain

A sixteenth-century revel scene representing the Pleasure Domain

The Pleasure Domain is a restricted third-party d20 domain from The Book of Erotic Fantasy. Its source rules do not make it a general Cleric option: it is specifically available to the Disciple of Aaluran or another prestige class permitted by the GM.

Edition Applicability

The rules below preserve the third-party d20-era Pleasure Domain. Most importantly, the original source restricts access: it is not automatically available to every Cleric who serves a suitable deity.

How the Pleasure Domain Plays

The domain mixes recovery and enchantment rather than functioning as a straightforward healing sphere. Soothing Touch removes fatigue and repairs damage, while the spell progression increasingly manipulates attention, emotion and desire before ending in reality-altering and restorative magic.

Eros and the Pleasure Domain

The current campaign directory associates the sphere with Eros. That is a campaign assignment. The sourcebook’s mechanical restriction still applies unless the GM deliberately changes it.

Using the Domain Responsibly in Play

Several spells in this domain affect emotion, consent or behaviour. They should be treated with the same care as charm, domination and compulsion magic elsewhere in the rules: make the stakes clear, keep player boundaries respected and avoid treating coerced behaviour as harmless merely because the magic is framed as pleasurable.
