Joining Domain

Psyche and Cupid representing the Joining Domain

The Joining Domain governs sacred bonds: partnership, emotional connection, shared strength and magic that links willing people together. Its rules come from the d20 3.x Book of Erotic Fantasy, but the domain itself is broader than sexuality and can represent marriage, devotion, kinship or other committed bonds.

How the Joining Domain Plays

Joining is built for a cleric who strengthens relationships rather than standing alone. Its spell list increasingly lets allies locate, protect, communicate with and share power with one another. That makes the domain particularly useful in parties that remain close together and in campaigns where separated allies, vows, family ties and sworn partnerships matter in play.

Joining, Love and Marriage

Joining overlaps with love and marriage without being identical to either. The Love Domain concerns affection and desire; the Marriage Domain concerns formal union and its obligations. Joining is the magical act of binding lives, minds and powers together.

Priests, Rites and Sacred Bonds

Priests of Joining witness vows, reconcile divided households, maintain bonds across distance and bless companions who must rely on one another. Their most important rites are usually performed for willing participants: promises, partnerships, reconciliations and shared duties are central to the domain’s identity.
