Shapechanger. The Beast can use its action to magically polymorph into a Large beast-humanoid hybrid or into a Large wolf, or back into its true form, which is a Medium human. Its statistics are the same in each form, except for the size. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn’t transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

Multiattack. The Beast makes two attacks: one with its claws and one with its bite.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d8 + 6) slashing damage.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (3d10 + 6) piercing damage.

Roar (Recharge 5-6). The Beast lets out a mighty roar. Each creature of the Beast’s choice within 60 feet of it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Lair Actions

On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the Beast can take a lair action to cause one of the following magical effects. The Beast can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:

• A burst of magical energy erupts from the ground. Each creature of the Beast’s choice within 30 feet of it must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 16 (3d10) force damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
• The Beast targets a creature it can see within 60 feet of it and commands it to flee. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be affected by the compelled duel spell (no concentration required) for 1 minute or until it takes any damage.
• The Beast chooses up to three creatures it can see within 60 feet of it. Each target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be magically restrained until the start of the Beast’s next turn.

Legendary Actions
