Rainbow Spray Spell
Rainbow Spray is a legacy prismatic pattern based on Color Spray, but powerful enough to affect creatures with substantially more Hit Dice.
At a Glance
| School | Illusion (Pattern) [Mind-Affecting, Prismatic] |
|---|---|
| Level | Bard 2, Sorcerer/Wizard 3 |
| Base Spell | Color Spray |
Effect
The spell functions as Color Spray except that the Hit Dice thresholds used to determine its effects are doubled. For example, creatures of 10 Hit Dice or more are stunned for 1 round rather than being beyond the spell’s useful range.
Using Rainbow Spray
The spell is intended as a stronger battlefield-control version of Color Spray, allowing the same style of dazzling prismatic effect to remain relevant against tougher creatures.
