Captain Boomerang II Owen Mercer

Owen Mercer was the son of the original Captain Boomerang. He became the second Captain Boomerang, walking the line between hero and villain.

Boomerang Master: Owen was trained in the use of a boomerang by the original Captain Boomerang. He gains a +4 bonus to attack and damage rolls when using a boomerang.
Super Speed Level 10 (Ex): The following benefits are provided from Superspeed Level 10:
- +10 speed bonus to AC, initiative, and Reflex saves
- +10 speed bonus to attack and thrown damage rolls
- +5 speed bonus to melee damage rolls
- Owen may make 10 swift actions in a round.
- Owen reduces the amount of time to complete an action by 2 steps, allowing him to take full round actions as move actions.
- Characters with less than Superspeed level 5 are considered flat-footed for the purposes of Owen’s attacks.
- Characters with Uncanny Dodge have an effective Superspeed Level equal to their Dexterity modifier for this purpose.
- When using the run action, Owen moves 20 times his movement rate. (6,000 feet).
Limited Speed: Owen cannot make full use of his super speed ability. Whenever he uses his super speed to move over 300 feet in a single round, he must make a Fortitude save (DC 20) or become exhausted. When exhausted, Owen loses all benefits from super speed. Because of this, Owen typically limits his super speed use to throwing his boomerangs at hypersonic speeds.
Also, unlike other speedsters, Owen does not have access to the Push.
Possessions
Like his father, Owen makes use of several special boomerangs.
Acid-Spewing Boomerang: Upon impact, this weapon deals an extra 2d4 points of acid damage. The next round after the hit, the acid deals a further 1d4 points of damage, unless it is washed away.
Explosive Boomerang: This boomerang explodes upon impact, dealing 3d6 fire damage in addition to its normal damage. Creatures struck with this must make a Reflex save (DC=damage dealt) to avoid being knocked prone.
Razorang: This boomerang deals 1d6 points of slashing or piercing damage (Owen’s choice) and has a threat range of 18-20.
