Gauntlet of Rust
Gauntlet of Rust
This material is Open Game Content, and is licensed for public use under the terms of the Open Game License v1.0a.
This single metal gauntlet looks rusted and pitted but is actually quite powerful.
Legacy Rules
Once per day, the gauntlet can affect an object as though using Rusting Grasp. It also completely protects the wearer and the wearer’s gear from rust, magical or otherwise, including the attack of a rust monster.
Using the Gauntlet
The item combines an offensive or utility rusting effect with constant protection from the same general hazard. The once-per-day Rusting Grasp use should be resolved from the linked spell text, while the protection remains part of the worn item’s legacy rules.
Edition Note
This is a legacy wondrous item. Object damage and rust effects vary between editions, so use the original statistics only with the appropriate rules or an explicit conversion.
Moderate transmutation; CL 7th; Craft Wondrous Item, rusting grasp; Price 11,500 gp; Weight 2 lb.
