Denial Domain

Figure representing restraint and self-denial

The Denial Domain is a third-party D&D 3.x domain built around restraint, refusal and self-denial. It is not an official D&D 3.5 SRD, Pathfinder 1e, 5e/2014 or 2024 Cleric domain, so this page keeps its original rules tradition clearly identified instead of presenting it as universal material.

Edition Applicability

This page preserves a third-party D&D 3.x domain. No Pathfinder, 2014 or 2024 panel is added because doing so would falsely imply published support in those editions.

How the Denial Domain Plays

This is a defensive-control domain. Its spell list steadily escalates from personal protection into battlefield exclusion, anti-magic and mental protection. The granted power is narrow but potentially disruptive when used on a key enemy roll.

Who Should Grant the Denial Domain?

Use it only for a deity whose established portfolio genuinely includes restraint, abstinence, refusal, boundaries or self-mastery. Do not assign it merely because a deity is modest, reserved or associated with domestic life.
