Shapechanger. Muma Pădurii can use her action to polymorph into a Small or Medium beast or back into her true form. Her statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment she is wearing or carrying isn’t transformed.

Innate Spellcasting. Muma Pădurii’s spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 15). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

Actions

Multiattack. Muma Pădurii makes two attacks: one with her Staff of the Forest and one with her Nature’s Wrath.

Staff of the Forest. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Nature’s Wrath. Ranged Spell Attack: +7 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (3d8 + 2) radiant damage.

Entangle (Recharge 5-6). Muma Pădurii causes plants in a 20-foot square within 60 feet of her to grasp and entangle creatures in the area. Creatures in that area must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be restrained. A creature can use its action to make a DC 15 Strength check, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Misty Step. Muma Pădurii can cast Misty Step as a bonus action.

Reactions

Ephemeral Shift. When Muma Pădurii is hit by an attack, she can use her reaction to become incorporeal until the end of her next turn, gaining resistance to all damage.

Lair Actions

On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Muma Pădurii takes a lair action to cause one of the following magical effects:

  1. Vines and foliage manifest, providing half cover to Muma Pădurii until the start of her next turn.
  2. The forest itself seems to come alive, causing the terrain to become difficult for non-fey creatures.

Muma Padurii is an ugly and mean green hag living in the forest.

She has the ability to change her shape. She lives in a dark, dreadful, hidden little house. This (step-) mother of the forest kidnaps little children and enslaves them. She tries to boils children, alive, in a soup. However Hansel and Gretel outsmart Muma Padurii and pushed the hag in the oven instead. The story ends on a happy note when all kids are free to go back to their parents, however the hag survived.

She attacks children, and because of this, a large variety of spells are used against her.
