Shapechanger. Sinfjotli can use its action to polymorph into a wolf-humanoid hybrid or into a wolf, or back into its true form, which is humanoid. Its statistics, other than its size, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn’t transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
Keen Smell. Sinfjotli has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Regeneration. Sinfjotli regains 20 hit points at the start of its turn if it has at least 1 hit point and isn’t in sunlight or running water. If Sinfjotli takes radiant damage or damage from a silvered weapon, this trait doesn’t function at the start of the next turn. Sinfjotli dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn’t regenerate.
Shapechanger Disguise. Sinfjotli can magically disguise its appearance to appear as a normal human for 24 hours. The transformation lasts until Sinfjotli uses an action to end it or if it dies.
Actions
Multiattack. Sinfjotli makes three attacks: two with his longsword and one with his bite.
- Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage.
- Bite (Werewolf Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) piercing damage. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with werewolf lycanthropy.
- Enrage (Recharge 5-6). Sinfjotli enters a state of bloodthirsty rage. He gains advantage on Strength-based attacks and saving throws, and his melee attacks deal an additional 2d6 damage for 1 minute.
Legendary Actions
Sinfjotli can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Sinfjotli regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
- Lunge. He moves up to his speed and makes one bite attack at the end of the movement.
- Terrifying Howl (Costs 2 Actions). He emits a terrifying howl. Each creature of his choice within 60 feet that can hear him must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute.
- Transformation (Costs 3 Actions). He changes between his humanoid and werewolf forms.
Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Sinfjotli can take a lair action to cause one of the following effects:
- He summons a pack of wolves to aid him in battle. Roll 1d4+1, and that many wolves appear within 60 feet of him.
- Hecreates an aura of darkness that covers a 30-foot radius centered on him. The darkness lasts until the start of his next turn and heavily obscures the area.
- He uses his Enrage ability as a lair action.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Sinfjotli fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.
