Feral Spirit

Feral Spirit reshapes part of the caster’s body into an animal-like natural weapon. A familiar can influence what form the attack takes, turning the spell into a visible expression of the Witch’s magical companion.

You gain a natural unarmed attack and can use it without provoking attacks of opportunity. You are treated as proficient with the attack.
The legacy damage line is 1d4 + 1 point per caster level, maximum +15. The damage type is bludgeoning, piercing or slashing according to the form the transformation takes.
If you have a familiar, the transformation often echoes that creature: horns for a ram, claws for a cat, a beak for a bird or a striking tongue for a toad. Without a familiar, the spell normally produces animal-like claws.
Edition Boundary
The legacy damage progression and attack-of-opportunity rules should not be imported directly into later editions. Modern Witch or Druid transformations need their own balanced natural-weapon statistics.
