Blight Growth

Blight Growth suppresses natural growth, slows recovery or imposes a fertility blight. It is preserved as a legacy d20 Witch spell and is not imported into later editions automatically.

Blight Garden: growth is reduced by 20% for the duration. A natural garden produces 20% less food. The spell can affect up to 10 square feet of garden per caster level.
Blight Body: a living creature recovers 1 fewer Hit Point after each full night of rest while affected.
Fertility Blight: the spell can be used to reduce the chance of conception. The exact campaign effect is determined by the Games Master.
Blight Growth is countered and dispelled by Bless Growth.
What Changed?
No modern conversion is assumed. The original percentage-based blight effects remain part of the preserved d20 Witch archive only.
Using Blight Growth in Play
Blight Growth works best as a curse on resources and recovery rather than as direct damage. It can threaten a garden, undermine an expedition’s food supply or slow recuperation after battle. Its long-term consequences are often more important than the immediate numbers.
Counterplay and Related Magic
Bless Growth counters and dispels Blight Growth under the legacy rules. Counterspell can stop the casting where the edition permits it; Dispel Magic can affect only an ongoing magical effect rather than reversing already-completed natural consequences.
