It is essentially the warlike application of a priestly censer, the hollow meant to contain Holy Water that is sprinkled about as the wielder swings it. The Holy Water inside deals 1d4 extra damage to undead and evil outsiders. The reservoir inside the weapon can contain enough Holy Water for six attacks, whether they are successful or not.

With a flail, you get a +2 bonus on opposed attack rolls made to disarm an enemy (including the roll to avoid being disarmed if such an attempt fails).

You can also use this weapon to make trip attacks. If you are tripped during your own trip attempt, you can drop the flail to avoid being tripped
