Beaver Women, “Enchantresses of the River Depths”
“Beware the Beaver Women: Beautiful, seductive water spirits who lure men to a mysterious and deadly fate!”

Beaver Women are mythical, alluring water spirits from Blackfoot mythology, known for their captivating beauty and deadly nature. These beings have the upper bodies of stunningly beautiful women, often concealed by long, flowing hair, while their lower bodies are covered in dense, dark beaver fur, marking their dual nature. They are most often seen lounging in or near water, blending seamlessly into their aquatic habitat. Their skin is sometimes painted in vivid red, symbolizing danger and allure.
Their behavior is both seductive and malicious; they are adept at bewitching men, using their charm and beauty to lure them into the water. Once a man falls for their spell, the Beaver Women drag him beneath the surface, where his fate remains a mystery—many believe he is drowned or held captive in the underwater realm. Despite their hostility toward human women, who they actively despise and attack, they show a strange protectiveness over children. While they will never harm young ones, some have been known to kidnap girls, raising them to eventually become Beaver Women themselves.
The Beaver Women are primarily motivated by a desire to expand their numbers and exert control over both the human world and the waters they inhabit. Their ultimate goal is to entice, transform, and ultimately rule over those who venture too close to their domain, ensuring the perpetuation of their seductive power. They are elusive, never leaving the water for long, and are relentless in their pursuit of vulnerable souls.

Reactions
- Beaver’s Grasp. When a creature the Beaver Woman can see hits her with a melee attack, she can use her reaction to make a grapple attack against the creature.
Tactics and Combat Style
The Beaver Woman is a predatory and dangerous creature, skilled at luring and capturing her victims. She uses her Luring Beauty ability to charm one or more enemies, causing them to approach her in a trance-like state. Once they are close, she uses her Water Lash to pull them into the water where she can overwhelm them. Her Beaver’s Grasp and Claw attacks allow her to grapple and drown those she captures, pulling them under with ease.
- Opening Move: She begins by attempting to charm or lure one or more targets using Luring Beauty or Hypnotic Gaze to reduce the number of foes that might resist her attacks. If that fails, she uses Water Dash to position herself for a better strike, avoiding ranged attackers.
- Close Quarters: When enemies are within reach, she uses Beaver’s Grasp to trap and restrain key targets, keeping them close enough for her to bite or claw them. She will then drag them into the water for a final strike.
- Escape: If reduced to low health, the Beaver Woman will attempt to retreat into the water using Water Dash and Call of the Waters, creating chaos to confuse and disorient her enemies before disappearing beneath the waves.
- Final Moves: If she is cornered or in danger, the Beaver Woman will use Legendary Actions such as Water Dash or Fur Coat to protect herself. She will also use Hypnotic Gaze to incapacitate any final threats before making her escape.
Motivation and Behavior
The Beaver Woman’s primary motivation is to lure and drown those who enter her territory, using them as food or to fuel her need for control over the waters. She is predatory, cold, and calculating, but also enjoys playing with her prey. While she shows a strange protectiveness over children, especially young girls, she kidnaps them to grow her numbers or ensure their loyalty. Her ultimate goal is to expand her influence, terrorizing those who venture too close to her domain, turning them into helpless victims lost to the water.
In battle, she is a strategic ambusher, preferring to charm or distract her enemies first before engaging directly. She uses her speed in the water to stay elusive and difficult to track, retreating when necessary to set up another ambush.
Beaver Women

“Beware any women you find in the water here, especially if you cant see her back…”
The Beaver Women are beautiful murderous water nymphs from Blackfoot myth. They will not leave the water and go naked, using their long hair to conceal themselves. Some of them cover themselves in red paint. They will not leave the water because their back and lower extremities are covered in beaver fur.
They are adept at bewitching men into the water, and will do so at every opportunity. The fate of these men is unknown, but it is assumed they are either drowned or held captive. Beaver Women despise human women, and will attack them at every opportunity. They will never harm children, and even protect them if possible. Some are a little too fond of children, kidnapping them. The kidnapped girls grow up to become Beaver Women themselves, the fate of the boys is unknown.
