Edition Applicability

This is a third-party 5e/2014-style domain, not an official Wizards of the Coast subclass and not a 2024 Cleric domain. The level 21–28 features belong to the sourcebook’s epic-level framework and are separated below from the normal 1–20 game.

1st Level: Libram of Vigilance

Your sacred libram serves as a spellcasting focus. While holding it, you cannot be surprised, gain a bonus to AC and saving throws equal to half your proficiency bonus rounded up, and can cast Blade Ward at 60 feet on a willing creature you can see.

2nd Level: Channel Divinity — Preservation Sphere

Designate up to six creatures you can see for 10 minutes. While within 30 feet of you, a protected creature gains the same AC and saving-throw bonus granted by your libram.

6th Level: Ever Vigilant

After using your action to cast a spell other than Blade Ward while holding your libram, you can cast Blade Ward as a bonus action on another creature.

8th Level: Potent Spellcasting

Add your Wisdom modifier to damage you deal with a Cleric cantrip.

17th Level: Safeguarding Touch

When a creature becomes the target of your Blade Ward, it can immediately attempt a saving throw against detrimental effects that would normally allow such a save at the start or end of its next turn, adding half your proficiency bonus.

Epic Extension from the Source

The same source continues the domain beyond normal 5e limits: Sheltering Sphere at 21st level, Mighty Spellcasting at 25th, and Vigilant Soul at 28th. Use those only in a campaign that is already using the sourcebook’s epic-level rules.

Heimdall and the Vigilance Domain

The current campaign directory assigns Vigilance to Heimdall. That is a campaign association, not a claim that the sourcebook lists him among its suggested deities.

What Are Vigilance Priests Doing Now?

They are maintaining watch rotations, testing wards, guarding roads and thresholds, interpreting warnings that others dismiss and preparing communities for threats that have not yet become visible.
