Glory Domain

A victorious warrior crowned with a laurel wreath representing the Glory Domain

The Glory Domain turns divine renown, heroic presence and victory over supernatural evil into cleric mechanics. Pathfinder 1e transforms Glory into a broad leadership and anti-undead domain, while D&D 3.5e concentrates its power on turning undead more effectively.

Edition Applicability

Glory is a published Pathfinder 1e domain and a D&D 3.5e additional domain. The two versions differ in both powers and spell lists. The earlier page used a mixed spell progression and has been separated here.

Glory Domain — Pathfinder 1e

Rules status: published Pathfinder 1e Core Rulebook domain. When you channel positive energy to harm undead, the save DC to halve that damage increases by 2.

Touch of Glory

As a standard action, touch a creature and grant it a bonus equal to your Cleric level on one Charisma-based skill check or Charisma ability check. The bonus remains available for 1 hour or until used. You can grant this benefit a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Divine Presence

At 8th level, emit a 30-foot aura for a total number of rounds per day equal to your Cleric level. Allies in the aura are treated as though protected by Sanctuary, using a save DC of 10 + half your Cleric level + your Wisdom modifier. The protection ends for an ally that leaves the aura or attacks, and ends for everyone if you attack.

How the Glory Domain Plays

Pathfinder makes Glory useful well beyond undead encounters: Touch of Glory can turn a critical social check into a near-certain success, and Divine Presence can shelter allies while they reposition or recover. D&D 3.5e is more specialised, making the cleric substantially better at turning undead and backing that identity with radiant and heroic domain magic.

Who Grants the Glory Domain?

The domain fits deities of victory, heroic champions, public honour and supernatural triumph. It should represent sacred renown or exemplary achievement, not merely fame. Nike is an obvious campaign connection where victory and triumph are central to her established portfolio.

Priests, Temples and Rites

Glory priests crown champions, preserve accounts of great deeds, carry victory standards and conduct rites after battles or extraordinary public achievements. Their ceremonies can also remind heroes that glory creates obligations: a celebrated champion who abandons those who trusted them may become a religious problem as well as a political one.

What Are Glory Priests Doing Now?

They are verifying disputed feats, recovering lost standards, exposing false heroes, preparing champions for dangerous public trials and hunting undead whose continued existence mocks victories that were supposed to have ended an old threat.
