Launch a mote of light at one creature or object within range and make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 Radiant damage.
Until the end of your next turn, the target emits Dim Light in a 10-foot radius and cannot benefit from the Invisible condition.
Cantrip Upgrade: 2d8 at level 5, 3d8 at level 11, and 4d8 at level 17.
Using Starry Wisp
The light matters most when an enemy is invisible. You still have to hit it with a ranged spell attack before it glows, which can be difficult when you cannot see the target. On a hit, it cannot benefit from the Invisible condition until the end of your next turn, giving allies a chance to follow up.
Other answers to invisible enemies work differently: Faerie Fire calls for a saving throw, while See Invisibility changes what its caster can see.
