Not an official spell in SRD 5.1. Do not assign its older shield effect a 2014 slot, concentration rule or damage formula without separately approved homebrew.

No Pathfinder-native rules confirmed. Pathfinder spell lists, shield attacks and resistances need a distinct conversion if a campaign chooses to use this D&D 3.5e spell.

This spell functions like Lesser Energized Shield, but grants resistance 10 against one chosen energy and 2d6 extra damage when the bearer hits with the shield in a shield bash. Choose acid, cold, electricity, fire or sonic when casting. The energy type cannot change during the spell.
Overlapping energy resistance does not stack. One shield cannot carry both a lesser and greater Energized Shield spell at the same time.
Which Energized Shield?
| Spell | Resistance | Additional shield-bash damage |
|---|---|---|
| Lesser | 5 | 1d6 |
| Stronger | 10 | 2d6 |
Both target one shield and last one round per level. The higher spell changes the numbers, not the target, casting procedure or duration.
Using Energized Shield
A paladin chooses fire before fighting an enemy with fiery magic. Against fire damage the bearer benefits from resistance 10. If the paladin also lands a shield bash, that strike adds 2d6 fire damage. Ordinary sword strikes receive no extra dice from this spell.
The shield’s magic can be removed under the normal rules for Dispel Magic. The spell does not grant extra attacks or stack with a second energy-resistance effect.
