Receptacle and Casting

The spell uses a gemstone set within a gold or silver cage worth 18,000 gp as the receptacle. The ritual requires prolonged contact with the target and ends with the soul-fragment being sealed into the focus.

Willing or source-defined bound targets are automatically affected. An unwilling target receives the listed Will save; the source gives that save DC as 40 + the caster’s relevant spellcasting ability modifier.

Edition Status

This is third-party 3.x epic material. Its soul-binding procedure, permanent duration and legacy status conditions should not be imported directly into modern D&D without a deliberate conversion.
