Effect
The target area is first subjected to an area dispel check at 1d20 + 20 that only attacks spells and items protecting against cold.
Creatures in the area then make the spell’s Fortitude save. On a failure, they become vulnerable to cold under the source rules, causing cold damage to deal 50% more damage. Existing cold resistance or immunity is suppressed for the duration against this effect.
The spell is also treated as tenacious under the source’s epic rules, making successful dispelling suppress it temporarily rather than ending it normally.
Edition Status
This is third-party 3.x epic material. Modern resistance, immunity and vulnerability mechanics are not identical to the legacy rules and should be converted deliberately.
