- Increase the DC to dispel protected effects by +10: ad hoc +20 DC.
- Make the aegis tenacious: ad hoc +10 DC.
- Make failed area-dispel attempts stop before checking lesser protected spells: ad hoc +4 DC.
- Ward completely against legacy Mage’s Disjunction: +16 DC.
- Change range from touch to personal: –2 DC.
Effect
A shimmering 10-foot aura surrounds the caster. Spells and magical effects inside it gain a +10 increase to the DC required to dispel them.
If the aegis itself is successfully dispelled, its tenacious quality suppresses it for 1d4 rounds rather than removing it permanently under the source rules.
An area dispel that fails against the aegis does not continue downward to check lesser spells inside the protected area. Legacy Mage’s Disjunction is specifically warded against.
Edition Status
This is third-party 3.x epic material. The Mage’s Disjunction interaction applies to the legacy spell; modern D&D has no direct official Mage’s Disjunction equivalent.
