Dust in the Wind — Epic Psionic Power
Dust in the Wind is a third-party epic psychoportation effect from the Dicefreaks Grimoire of Cosmic Entities Volume One. It transforms creatures into sand statues, scatters them across miles of terrain, and makes restoration depend on reassembling the transformed body correctly.

Effect
Creatures and objects in the area that fail their saves become sand sculptures. Within ten minutes, a powerful wind scatters the sand across roughly two miles, destroying the intact statues.
The victims are transformed rather than technically dead, so ordinary resurrection cannot simply bypass the transformation. The scattered sand must first be gathered and the epic effect successfully broken.
Restoring a Victim
Wish- or miracle-level magic can gather the scattered material under the source rules, but ending the transformation still requires a successful caster-level check against the epic effect using appropriate dispelling or enchantment-breaking magic.
The dust must then be reconstructed into the creature’s exact form. The source calls for a Craft (sculpture) check with DC 25 + the creature’s Hit Dice. If the form is reconstructed incorrectly, breaking the transformation leaves the creature dead.
If restoration succeeds, the source imposes additional legacy level and Constitution losses even when the recovery magic would not normally do so.
Edition Status
This is third-party 3.x epic psionic material. Its transformation, resurrection penalties and Craft-based reconstruction rules are not modern D&D mechanics.
