How Great Intelligence Works
Great Intelligence permanently increases Intelligence by 1. The feat can be selected multiple times, with each selection adding another point.
When the Modifier Changes
The Intelligence modifier increases when the score reaches the next even number. Raising Intelligence from 21 to 22 changes the modifier from +5 to +6; raising 22 to 23 does not change the modifier again until the score reaches 24.
What Higher Intelligence Can Affect
When the modifier increases, Intelligence-based skill checks improve, along with spellcasting or class features that use Intelligence where applicable. A permanently higher Intelligence score can also matter for prerequisites and future character advancement.
See the Epic Feats index for other epic ability and spellcasting options.
