How Great Constitution Works

Great Constitution permanently increases Constitution by 1. The feat can be selected repeatedly, and the increases stack.

When the Modifier Changes

An ability modifier increases only when the score reaches the next even number. Increasing Constitution from 21 to 22 raises the modifier from +5 to +6; increasing 22 to 23 leaves the modifier at +6 until Constitution reaches 24.

What Higher Constitution Can Affect

When the Constitution modifier increases, it can improve hit points, Fortitude saves and Constitution-based checks. Because hit points depend on Constitution across a character’s Hit Dice, a modifier increase can be especially significant for an epic character with many levels.
