Powdered Mummy Skin — Pathfinder 1e Drug Rules
Powdered Mummy Skin
Powdered mummy skin is a dangerous inhaled drug in Pathfinder First Edition. For one hour it can increase Strength, but it also weakens resistance to negative energy and paralysis and exposes the user to mummy rot. The disease is a separate hazard, not just another point of ability damage.
Pathfinder 1e statistics
- Price: 20 gp per dose. Type: inhaled.
- Addiction: minor; Fortitude DC 18.
- Effect (1 hour): +1d2 alchemical bonus to Strength; –2 penalty on saving throws against negative energy and paralysis effects.
- Damage: 1 Wisdom and 1 Dexterity damage; the user also contracts mummy rot.
At the gaming table
A tomb robber who took this drug to carry stolen grave goods may return unusually strong but gravely ill. A Games Master can turn the resulting investigation toward the tomb’s curse and the treatment of mummy rot rather than treating the temporary bonus as free equipment. Resolve the drug, addiction and mummy rot under their separate Pathfinder 1e rules.
