Indigo

Indigo is a superhero in DC Comics, who later transforms into a supervillain. The character’s first appearance is in Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day #1.
Fictional character history
Indigo is an android and a member of the Outsiders. Born in a distant future era, she comes to the 21st century badly damaged, and desperately looking for a cybernetic or mechanical organism capable of repairing her. In the process, she tries to install her self-repairing routines into the Metal Men, but they are incapable of assisting her in maintenance. Then she turns to Cyborg, but in the process, she damages him.
Attacked by the combined forces of Young Justice and the Titans she retreats, switching into an offensive mode. Although the combined forces of the young superheroes best her, adding further damage, she is able to activate a dormant Superman Android before shutting down for repairs. Yet when the android comes after the young heroes (killing Lilith and Troia), Arsenal briefly reactivates the young female droid and sends her to stop the Superman Android before shutting down again.
When Arsenal reforms the Outsiders, he claims the female droid, now called Indigo, as a teammate.
Her memory was supposedly damaged in the aftermath of her dramatic appearance; any remainder was wiped out by S.T.A.R. Labs. Indigo displays a very naive personality, guilelessly taking pleasure in the simple things in life, like doing laundry for friends, bowling, and silent movies. She often struggles to learn how to behave in society, and takes her cues from those she lives with. As she grows more integrated in her quest to earn the acceptance and forgiveness of Nightwing and her teammates, she even manages to find love with Shift.
It was revealed in Teen Titans #24 that Indigo is actually Brainiac 8, and every bit the ruthless, inhuman villain that previous Brainiacs were. Indigo as the Outsiders knew her is essentially a subprogram, designed by 8’s “grandfather” Brainiac 6 to endear her to the superhero community.
Brainiac 8 had been sent back in time to kill Donna Troy, because a living Donna would negate Coluan domination over the “organics” after the Infinite Crisis. After a beating by the combined forces of Teen Titans and Outsiders, in Outsiders #25, the Indigo persona wrests control from Brainiac 8, and reveals herself to be a genuine personality. Weeping, she begs Shift to kill her before the Brainac 8 persona could harm the people she loves. Shift, in tears, transforms her molecular structure into flesh, killing her in the process.
Powers and abilities
A unique inorganic being, Indigo possesses an analytical computer mind, can fly, and can project force fields and energy blasts from her eyes and hands. She is also able to interact with and control machines and robots.

Analytical Brain (Ex): Indigo’s brain is a highly advanced super-computer, capable of reacting to threats with impressive speed and precision as well as allowing her to access vast amounts of information.
Indigo does not require access to an external computer for the purpose of making Computer Use checks. She gains a +15 bonus on Computer Use checks. She can use a Computer Use check at a -5 penalty in place of any Intelligence based skill.
Indigo can process information at an incredible rate. She reduces the standard time requirements for Computer Use and Research checks by 3 steps. (Hours become standard actions, minutes become move actions, rounds become swift actions, etc)
Indigo has a vast personal database of information that provide her with a +15 bonus to Knowledge and Research checks.
Cybernetic Metabolism(Ex): While Indigo’s body is completely artificial, it has some qualities more often associated to organic beings. She recovers wound points and ability score damage at the same rate a normal organic being does.
She also gains additional wound points equal to her Intelligence modifier x Her HD.
Force field (Ex): Indigo can generate various force fields. She constantly generates a personal force field that grants her a +5 deflection bonus to her armor class and damage reduction 5/-. She may raise or lower this force field as a swift action.
She can also generate a larger force field capable of absorbing up to 100 points of damage. The shield has damage reduction 10/-, energy resistance 10 and recovers 5 hit points each round. The shield has an area of up to 200 square feet, shaped as she sees fit. By halving the total damage absorbed by the shield, Indigo can double its area. She can maintain an shield for ten minutes at a time. If it is breached or expires, it takes 1d10 minutes before she can create another.
Creating an area shield is a standard action and Indigo must concentrate on the shield in order for it to stay active. She must lower her personal force field in order to generate area shields.
Force Blast (Ex): Indigo can shoot energy blasts from her hands or eyes. This ranged touch attack has a 100 ft. range and it deals 6d6 points of force and radiation damage.
Queen of Machines (Ex): Indigo can control all types of mechanical beings and machines, including mechanical armors. She can use this ability in several ways.
EMP blast: Indigo can shut down a mechanical being by frying its circuits with electromagnetic force. The targeted being must make a DC 22 fortitude save or it will stop working for 3d4 minutes.
Electrical Backlash: Indigo can overload a mechanical being’s energy source, producing an electric shock that deals 4d6 points of electric damage and render the being out of operation for 1d6 minutes. This attack can be negated with a DC 22 Fortitude save
In the case of a being inside a mechanical armor, he takes 10d6 points of nonlethal electric damage and becomes stunned for 1d6 rounds. A DC 22 Fortitude save halves the damage and negates the stunning.
Hijack Control: Indigo can change the basic programs of any mechanical being, gaining control over it as by a dominate monster spell. This attack can be resisted with a DC 22 Will save.
Mechanical Absorption: Indigo can absorb other mechanical beings in order to repair herself. If she makes a successful grapple check against a mechanic being, she can deal 4d6 points of damage. She recovers half the amount of damage dealt. Creatures targeted in this way are also affected to Indigo’s Hijack Control ability.
By making a successful Computer Use (DC 10+ the beings HD) she can absorb all the Knowledge the being knows. This is a free action for Indigo.
All the save DCs are Intelligence-based.
Sensors (Ex): Indigo’s sensors allows her to Search for any specific being or thing within 25 miles by making a Research check. She automatically becomes aware of any being within 60 ft of her. She can not be caught flat footed by any corporeal being.
She can find other mechanic beings, the origins of radio signals (or similar radiations) and such others energy signatures with a successful Computer Use check (DC 10+ the distance in miles).
