Dabble Swamp Magic — Legacy Witch Art
Swamp Magic is a legacy Witch Art shaped by marsh water, bog plants, insects, mud, mist and creatures adapted to wetlands. It belongs to the preserved d20 Dabble system.
Choose Swamp Magic If…
- You want marshes, bogs and wetland creatures to shape your magic.
- You enjoy poison, concealment and harsh-environment survival themes.
- You want a Witch who feels strongly tied to one kind of landscape.
What it feels like to play: Swamp Magic makes an environment part of the character. Mud, insects, still water and heavy mist stop being background details and become tools the Witch understands.
Legacy rules note
This Art uses the preserved d20 Witch rules. Its original prerequisites and spell progression remain below; other editions need a deliberate conversion.

Bogs and marshes are home to many witches, and some draw upon their environment for arcane power.
The original d20 write-up requires a neutral alignment component. Campaigns may instead connect Swamp Magic to wetland upbringing, a marsh patron, local spirits or long familiarity with bog and river environments.
Power: Crocodillic: Swim is a class skill. The witch can hold her breath for a number of additional minutes equal to 1 + half her levels in witch before requiring drowning checks.
