Disguise Kit
Disguise Kit
Source Core Rulebook
Pathfinder 1e: A disguise kit contains makeup, false hair and other materials for changing someone’s appearance. It costs 50 gp, weighs 8 lb. and grants a +2 circumstance bonus on Disguise checks. It runs out after 10 uses.
When to Bring One
Use the kit when the party must enter a guarded district under borrowed identities or slip past someone who knows their faces. A change of clothes and false facial hair may help a traveller pass at a glance, but the kit does not make an implausible story convincing or erase an accent. Resolve suspicion with the normal Disguise rules, including the checks of observers.
Rules and Related Equipment
These are Pathfinder 1e values from the Core Rulebook equipment list, not universal D&D 2024 or 2014 rules. The kit’s bonus applies to Disguise checks, not to every social skill. See the Tools & Kits directory to compare it with other equipment.
