Evasion. When Arion is subjected to an effect that allows him to make a Dexterity saving throw to take half damage on a success, he takes no damage on a success and half damage on a failure.

Dithyramb Chorus (Recharge 5-6). Arion begins an enchanting performance that captivates his audience. All creatures within 30 feet of Arion must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or become charmed by him for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. If a creature’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to Arion’s Dithyramb Chorus for the next 24 hours.

Bardic Inspiration (3/Short Rest). Arion can use a bonus action to choose one creature other than himself within 60 feet who can hear him. That creature gains an inspiration die (d8) to roll when making an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check. The creature can wait until after it rolls before deciding to use the inspiration die, but must decide before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails. Once the inspiration die is rolled, it is lost. A creature can have only one inspiration die at a time.

Reactions

In Myth

An immortal herald of the sea once a mortal bard son of Poseidon and the nymph Oncaea. On a voyage from Tarentum to Corinth, the ship Areion was aboard was had crashed and was sinking, but he was saved by his father, who turned him into a dolphin. Since then, he has been a deity of the sea who aids all those victim to shipwreck.

He also has the ability to turn into a talking horse filled with amazing swiftness and back into a man.
