“Odd creatures, those big men. Killing everything they see, burning the Mother Forest, taking us for entertainment in their “freak shows”. I don’t really like them too much.”

Floresiensis Characters
Floresiensis are determined adventurers amongst their own kind and jungle terrain. You are a Floresiensis are both brave and cautious at the same time, an odd mixture.
* Adventuring Race: Floresiensis rarely adventure outside the archipelago they come from. Those that are on the outside are usually escaped slaves or sideshow attractions that are trying to find a better place in the world or just wanting to get home to the Mother Forest.
* Character Development: If you are going to play a Floresiensis , the best way to go is with a ranger. Your natural Survival and Move Silently bonuses mean you are a natural in the woods, and your attack bonuses mean the ferocious dinosaurs that populate most of the world are at a disadvantage. If you are a spellcaster, go druid.
* Character Names: Floresiensis are usually given names that symbolize their mannerisms or habits, always in Floresiensis (the Maori language.)
Role-playing a Floresiensis
You are the original communer with nature. Mother Forest gives, Mother Forest takes, and you live within her. There is no need to question this.
* Personality: You are a part of the great web Mother Forest weaves, so you like to go with the flow of the hectic nature of the rainforest. Those that fail to follow Mother Forest are odd to you, and you are wary of those on the outside.
* Behaviors: Floresiensis find pleasure in the hobbies of crafting magnificent wood artwork and having fun playing tag in the forest. They also enjoy a good hunt to keep the village fed.
* Language: Floresiensis is basically real-world Te Reo Ma-ori.
Floresiensis Society
Floresiensis treat even the most displaced villages in their archipelago as extended family, the villages all united under one banner of the Floresiensis .
* Alignment: Most Floresiensis lean toward True Neutral, respecting Mother Jungle whether she produces law or chaos.
* Lands: The lands of the Floresiensis are mainly densely Forested islands.
* Settlements: The Floresiensis live in cavern villages in the higher peaks of their islands, where the great beasts are less likely to roam.
* Beliefs: Floresiensis worship the jungle itself, as Mother Forest. Even some non-Floresiensis druids know of Mother Forest and follow her.
* Relations: Floresiensis basically fear any race other than their own.
Floresiensis Adventures
* The Floresiensis have finally had enough of the humans taking their brethren, and are prepared to fight back. With borrowed boats, they ready themselves to attack. They must first, however, find a way to get past the megalodon that haunt the shores.
* You are a simple Floresiensis Rogue that has escaped from a travelling circus, looking for a quick buck. Those humans and their gold are an easy target for your nimble hands, but the circus is still hunting you.
* A breakout of the slaver’s quarters is being planned, but it would require good humans and Floresiensis working together. Can they put aside their differences to escape?
