This giant, tank-like dinosaur vaguely resembles a four-legged reptilian knight: the armor on its back resembles built-in spiked plate mail, and the scales on its head are fused into a helmet.

Panoplosaurus is a giant, late-surviving nodosaur. It is heavily armored, even by the standards of other nodosaurs: this is how it received is name panoplosaurus, which means all-armored lizard. Panoplosaurus are relatively docile for creatures of great size, largely due to their armor protecting them from carnivores; however, if a panoplosaurus is disturbed, it will bring its full wrath to bear upon its foe. Some cultures revere these creatures as divine, but none have ever domesticated them.

A panoplosaurus is 18-25 feet long and weighs up to 4 tons.
